Privacy Policy
Short version: we do not sell your data, we do not build a profile on you, and the only personal thing we ever store is an email address you typed in yourself.

demonteMAG is an independently operated publication. There is no company behind it, no investor, and no data broker. Questions about anything on this page go to demontemag@gmail.com.
What we actually collect
Reading the site requires nothing from you. No account, no sign-in, no form. You only hand over information in three situations:
- You subscribe to the newsletter. We store your email address. Nothing else, no name, no location.
- You buy something from the shop. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, never to us, and we never see or store them. We receive your email address so we can send the download.
- You email us. Then we have whatever you chose to put in the email.
Cookies and advertising
This is the part most privacy policies bury, so here it is plainly. Two Google services run on this site and both set cookies:
- Google AdSenseserves the ads. Google and its partners use cookies to select ads, which may be based on your prior visits to this and other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies is governed by Google's advertising policies, and you can turn personalized advertising off at Google Ads Settings. Opting out of a vendor's cookies at aboutads.info works too.
- Google Analytics 4 tells us how many people read a piece and which pages they came from. It is aggregate traffic data, not a way for us to identify you. We never upload email addresses or any other personal identifier into Analytics.
Third-party vendors, including Google, may serve ads based on your visits here. You can block all cookies in your browser settings. The site works normally without them, you will just see less relevant ads.
Affiliate links
Some articles link to Amazon. Clicking one lets Amazon know you arrived from here, so a commission can be attributed. It costs you nothing and changes no price. The full explanation, including how we choose what to recommend, is on the affiliate disclosure page.
Who else touches your data
We use a small number of established services to run the site. Each holds only what it needs to do its job:
| Service | What it handles |
|---|---|
| Vercel | Hosting and delivery of the site itself |
| Google AdSense | Advertising and ad-selection cookies |
| Google Analytics 4 | Aggregate traffic statistics |
| Resend | Sending the newsletter and storing subscriber emails |
| Notion | Our internal record of newsletter subscribers |
| Stripe | Payment processing for shop purchases |
| Amazon Associates | Attribution for affiliate links you click |
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone, for any amount, ever.
How long we keep things
Subscriber emails are kept until you unsubscribe, at which point they are removed from the mailing list. Purchase records are kept as long as needed for tax and refund purposes. Analytics data expires on Google's own retention schedule.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us for a copy of what we hold on you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you are in the UK, EU, or another region with data protection law such as GDPR or CCPA, those are your legal rights and we honour them regardless of where you are.
Email demontemag@gmail.com and say what you want done. There is no form to fill in and no verification hoop. We aim to reply within a few days. Every newsletter also carries a one-click unsubscribe link, which is the fastest route if that is all you want.
Children
This site is written for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect anything from them. If you believe a child has given us an email address, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If what we collect changes, this page changes first, and the date at the top moves. We do not make quiet edits.
