A tool that solves one job well is more useful to most people than a subscription they forget to cancel. These cost nothing to run because they work in your browser rather than on our servers, so there is no reason to charge for the basic version. Where a paid version exists, it is a one-time payment for people who use the tool often enough to want the extras, not a gate on the thing itself.
